Hotel Nidhivan at Vrindavan

I've always wanted to write a review of a Hotel so here goes the fulfilling journey of my words, riding over the plain lands of Vrindavan.

First of all, I must admit here - it takes pure spiritual prowess and determination, to visit Vrindavan as it is primarily a village land open to the skies. Literally, there aren't any airports there so one has to take a flight to either Agra or Delhi and from there take a train or bus... I would suggest a train journey.
A bus journey is typically over crowded with people sitting on your head on top of the bus  and cramping inside the bus so much so that one who is travelling for the first time,  may wonder how the bus didn't topple and it is a miracle they made it to the destination.

For my Indian friends, you've seen the film  Swadesh, now you've developed an urge to travel on top of a bus, here's how you can fulfill it - go to Vrindavan. Personally, I had the fortune of finding a female companion to travel with all those ghastly 3.5hours and she kept on chatting with me all through as though, she had found her soul mate.
Now, Vrindavan is a town in U.P. and has an ancient history. It is known to be the place where Lord Krishna grew up winning the hearts of all the wenches. in his youth. Likewise, even if one visits the town today, you will find the people there are very simple, loving and easily trusted.
The place breathes peace and love. Although, there is a high probability of people thieving with the conditions in which they live there most people aren't like that, most people can be easily befriended and their state of joy, would make you forget all your worldly worries whilst you are there.
With me, the series of miracles and events which led to me visiting the place in itself made me believe it was pure Destiny. As though, the lord called me there and guided me removing all obstacles with such serenity as Lord Krishna is known for. I've always called Him my friend as though he exists in spirit inside me.I continue to do so.

In the place, such as this, I stayed at a Hotel which adds glamour to the town. You will not find another hotel such as this, in the entire place. Not even ISKCON temple, is as good as this one. Hotel Nidhivan---

The Best thing about the hotel is the food. In fact, many foreigners and tourists stay there, just for their delicious food. One may wonder, why is the food so fussed about -the answer to that question you will know only when you are actually there. It is a point to be noted and kept in mind. Needless to mention, their staff is very cooperative, friendly and helpful. They go an extra mile to make sure your at comfort and get everything you need.

During the day, one can see vast green fields on the back side of the hotel and it acts like a calming drop to your senses. Your eyes truly feast upon the greenery with a huge banyan tree in the centre, from your room. And on the side, you can see an array of temple one after the other.

Prem Temple, is most beautifully lit with colored LED lights over the entire temple. At night, the temple is alight with visitors and religious travelers. However, the hotel promotes conservation of water too since the water supply there is quite limited.

The Hotel has a very neat and organized basic setup for a room with free wifi connection. There room service is excellent and brings water in my mouth as I recall the delicacies I enjoyed whilst I was there.

One thing, by which I was awestruck was that time. It really passed very slowly there. And I mean it. Many a times, when I felt more than 4hours had gone by, I would be surprised to know that not even 1 hour had gone by.

This place is simply the one stop destination if you decide to visit Vrindavan. Their services are top class. The staff there speak in English and Hindi languages. Their packages are most affordable and reasonable for a low budget traveler. The location of the hotel is in walking distance to all popular temples such as Prem Temple, Banki Bihari amongst others.

The best time to be here, is during the Festival of Holi. As it is known to celebrate the festival for over a month, where in other places across India you will find it being celebrated just one day or maximum a week.
Unless , of course, your children make it a month long festival where you stay.

Amongst other facilities, the hotel has an intercom to reach the reception and house keeping and other services. The hotel provides a drop off to the railway station (which is actually in Mathura), almost 45minutes from the hotel. It is a 5 star rating hotel and has elevators.

The administrative and management of the hotel will be the best you can find in Vrindavan. It has an impressive structure, you can see the hotel from afar. One cannot stay there for more 3 days. Since a visitor spends most of their time in the hotel, you would want your hotel to be ---
